First - get a free Sonetel account
To access the Sonetel API you need to have a Sonetel account. You can sign up for a free account here. Sign up using your email address and a password.
If you sign up with your Facebook, Google or LinkedIn accounts, you will get stuck at a later stage - as you will need a Sonetel password to obtain access to the API.
